Salary: Up to £57,000 depending on experience
Location: Hybrid working – 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK National with British citizenship

The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity to lead the UK programme for a growing functional systems engineering team working on the Land Ceptor programme. You will play a key role in delivering ongoing support and capability enhancements for both the British and Polish Armed Forces, as well as future export customers.
Reporting to the Chief Systems Engineer through the Certification Lead, you will guide a team of systems engineers responsible for delivering certification artefacts and supporting in-service operations. This is a highly visible role with real impact, offering the chance to shape future military capability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of systems engineers, ensuring timely delivery of certification packages
* Oversee support activities for the in-service system and implement capability enhancements
* Maintain oversight across complex tasks and clearly communicate direction and goals
* Collaborate across engineering and programme functions to manage and meet delivery plans
* Evaluate system design evidence from multiple sources and ensure robust compliance
* Work with internal stakeholders to align on requirements, risks, and integration challenges
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience managing or coordinating systems engineering teams
* Strong understanding of certification processes, particularly in defence or aerospace domains
* Hands-on experience with requirements management tools, especially DOORS
* Familiarity with the full systems engineering lifecycle
* Able to balance multiple priorities and lead through ambiguity
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders across functions
