Responsibilities
* Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
* Perform detailed inspections of vehicle components, including brakes, lights, steering, and suspension systems.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs or adjustments as needed.
* Document test results accurately and communicate findings to vehicle owners or management.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
* Assist in the training of junior staff members in MOT testing procedures and best practices.
Requirements
* Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance or repair.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during inspections or repairs.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
* Valid MOT Tester certification is preferred but not essential for candidates willing to undergo training.
