📍Location:Based anywhere across the UK (National Remit - Travel Required)

đź’°Pay:up to ÂŁ75,000 Dependent on Experience + ÂŁ7,200 Car allowance + Commission (Discussed at Interview)

Overview:

If you’re a senior sales professional who excels at breaking into new markets, securing major tenders, and driving large‑scale revenue growth, this role offers the autonomy, scale, and strategic impact you’re looking for.

This is a rare opportunity with no Year 1 forecast target—giving you as our newNational Strategic Development Managerthe freedom to shape your own success parameters while absorbing industry‑leading knowledge and establishing our position as a modern, multi‑service protective services provider.

TheStrategic Development Managerwill lead and deliver all national sales and competitive tendering activity across our protective service lines. You’ll be the driving force behind identifying big opportunities, shaping winning strategies, and securing high‑value national and strategic contracts end‑to‑end, be the beacon of recurring revenue streams, win new business and drive continued growth of Securitas UK. Security is needed everywhere, so scope to sell is vast – This role lends hand to a excellent relationship builder, a hands‑on sales professional driven by targets and own success (with the right tools in place to help you flourish).

You will operate with total market visibility and be empowered to take bold, intelligent action to expand our footprint on a national scale.


Job Description


What You’ll Be Doing


New Business Generation & Opportunity Strategy

* Lead the end‑to‑end strategy for identifying and securingnew national business opportunities, ensuring Securitas is positioned early and effectively in the market.
* Drive proactive opportunity spotting across frameworks, procurement pipelines, and target accounts to maximise new business potential.
* Shape winning strategies in collaboration with Sales, Operations, Commercial, and SMEs, ensuring a strong competitive edge.
* Use customer and market intelligence to anticipate future needs and position Securitas as the partner of choice.


Winning National Tenders & Strategic Submissions

* Own the full tender lifecycle — from strategy creation to high‑quality submission — with a sharp focus on new revenue generation.
* Develop compelling, persuasive written content that differentiates our solutions and secures new national contracts.
* Coordinate inputs from technical, operational, risk, fire, and security experts to create aligned, compliant, and cohesive submissions.
* Maintain excellent standards of accuracy, clarity, compliance, and brand consistency across all documentation.


Revenue Growth, Commercial Impact & Solution Design

* Drivenew business revenueby targeting high‑value national tenders and strategic growth opportunities.
* Partner closely with Commercial teams to shape pricing models, ensure commercial viability, and mitigate risk.
* Influence solution design to ensure offerings are innovative, scalable, competitive, and commercially strong.
* Work alongside Business Leadership to prioritise and pursue the most valuable national opportunities.
* Maintain visibility of all upcoming national tender opportunities across protective services.
* Provide intelligence on competitors, market shifts, and procurement trends to guide new business direction.
* Support the development of national forecasting, pipeline planning, and long‑term strategic growth initiatives.


Collaboration, Governance & Stakeholder Leadership

* Lead storyboarding sessions, solution workshops, reviews, and internal sign‑offs to strengthen bid quality.
* Ensure all submissions meet governance, commercial approval, and contractual risk standards.
* Build strong, trusted relationships across the organisation — from technical SMEs to C‑suite leaders — to drive alignment and accelerate new business success.


Qualifications

What you’ll bring:

You’re someone who thrives in a role wherenew business creationis the heartbeat of success. You’re motivated by winning major contracts, engaging with senior decision makers, and shaping strategic opportunities from the ground up.

Proven experience managing high‑value tenders, bids or proposals (national scale ideal).

Strong understanding of protective services or adjacent safety‑led markets.

Exceptional written communication—able to create persuasive, polished content.

Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple concurrent submissions.

Strong commercial awareness and ability to interpret complex contract requirements.

Advanced MS Word, PowerPoint and proposal‑building capability.

Experience in cross‑functional collaboration.

Understanding of commercial pricing models and contract structures.

Knowledge of both public and private sector procurement environments.

Background in sales‑focused roles within protective services or complex B2B industries.
