Are you an experienced Repairs & Maintenance professional ready to take the next step into leadership? We’re working with a leading housing provider in the North East who are seeking a skilled Repairs & Maintenance Team Leader to join their property services division.
You’ll be leading a team delivering responsive repairs, maintenance, and small building projects across a large and varied property portfolio. This role offers the opportunity to shape service delivery, support team development, and drive performance across multiple trades.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support a multi-skilled team delivering repairs and maintenance works.
Manage internal operatives and external contractors to ensure high-quality results.
Oversee health and safety compliance and ensure work meets all legislative standards.
Drive performance, ensuring KPIs and service standards are achieved.
Contribute to continuous improvement across the maintenance service.
About You
A solid background in building maintenance, construction, or a related trade.
Strong leadership and supervisory experience.
A sound understanding of building regulations, construction methods, and damp/mould management.
Relevant qualifications (City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a building trade).
Up-to-date H&S certifications (CDM, Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness, COSHH, etc.).
A full UK driving licence.
