Overall purpose of the job:
The Pre-Sales Account Manager will be responsible for being an on-going technical interface between 1) the Exponential-e Customers and managed service accounts and 2) the Exponential-e Technical and Sales teams.
They will be responsible for maintaining documentation and standards, as well as providing technical approvals and architectural reviews and pre-sales qualification reviews for opportunities. A key part of the role will be to identify new opportunities and projects within the Public Sector Account base.
The individual will provide technical leadership for development of specific accounts.
Key responsibilities for this job:
1. Provide technical support for the development, implementation and administration of new products
2. Attend customer meetings and represent the company from a technical perspective at architecture, security and operational customer boards.
3. Interface with multiple areas of technology and multiple departments to support in implementation of new solutions and products
4. Recommend and influence operational elements of supporting new products and services
5. Create technical documentation for new products and services
6. Aid in the implementation of new processes and procedures to support newly released products and solutions
7. Liaise with vendors and suppliers in relation to the testing and development of new technologies
8. Work with customer and supplier to create High Level Requirements specifications and support the Exponential-e internal governance process
9. Assume a technical leadership role on a cross-functional team through all stages of product development
10. Help manage internal and external expectations for delivery of new services and products
11. Provide technical assistance and support to the pre-sales / sales teams
12. Any other fair and reasonable task or duty assigned to you by your Manager, or other senior Exponential-e Ltd staff member
Knowledge and experience required:
13. Knowledge and Experience of Wide Area and Local Area Networking (WAN/LAN)
14. Knowledge and experience of access technologies; Wi-Fi, ZTNA, SD-WAN and SASE
15. Strong customer and stakeholder management skills
16. Advanced hands-on knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, experience and good knowledge of MPLS protocols and operation
17. Experience supporting delivery of complex project-based work
18. Experience in planning and designing overall solutions
19. Advanced IP Addressing and Subnetting knowledge – IPV4 & IPV6 (advantageous)
20. Advanced skill in understanding and configuring of switching technologies – MPLS, Spanning Tree Protocol, VLANs, Dot1q, QinQ
21. Good customer facing skills – internal and external#
22. Understanding and experience dealing with Government and Public Sector standards such as; HSCN, GovWiFi, NCSC Cloud Security principles, Security by Design and other relevant methods and architectures that might be appropriate to Public Sector environments.
