Warehouse Team Leader Location: Huntingdon Salary: £28,475 per annum excellent benefits Contract: Full-time, permanent Shift Pattern: Rotating day shifts – 7:00am–3:30pm & 1:30pm–10:00pm Are you an experienced Warehouse Team Leader with a hands-on approach and strong leadership skills? Join Bensons for Beds in our Huntingdon depot, where you'll play a key role in supporting the Supervisor with the day-to-day operations of our warehouse. About the Role You’ll lead and motivate a team of warehouse operatives, overseeing the smooth flow of goods in and out of the warehouse using WMS systems. You’ll also contribute to optimising our home delivery operation to help us maintain a world-class customer service standard. Please note: This is a physically demanding role involving the loading of heavy items such as mattresses, bed frames, and bedroom furniture. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes Organise and lead your team in line with operational needs Monitor shift performance and report weekly on successes and areas for improvement Manage stock movement using WMS, including receiving, dispatching, returns, and stock counting Plan and manage team rotas alongside the Supervisor Uphold high standards of health and safety through daily checks Act as deputy for the Supervisor when required Coach and support team members, identifying training and development opportunities Ensure compliance with company procedures and drive team engagement Promote a clean, organised, and pride-driven warehouse environment About You Experience & Knowledge Previous experience in a team leader role within a warehouse or logistics environment Confident using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service Ability to interpret written and numerical information Skills & Attributes Strong leadership and people management skills Clear and confident communication – both written and verbal Passionate about quality and customer service Ability to work under pressure and meet performance targets Computer literate (PPT training is a plus) Organised, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement What We Offer Competitive base salary of £28,475 p.a. 50% employee discount on Bensons products Health & wellbeing cashback scheme via Medicash Unum Income Protection cover Legal & General pension scheme Discounted gym memberships and Cycle to Work scheme Annual leave buy & sell scheme Enhanced maternity and adoption leave Long service awards and ‘Love to Shop’ vouchers Retail Trust access for financial, emotional and practical support Ongoing learning, development, and career progression opportunities About Us We’re Bensons for Beds – a company with over 100 years of sleep expertise.
