Teaching Personnel are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school based in Stoke-on-Trent who are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic History Teacher to join their humanities department full-time from September.
This is a great opportunity for an ECT who is looking to start their teaching career and gain experience across KS3/4 and GCSE or an experienced teacher looking for a new and exciting change.
The role:
* Deliver high-quality, engaging History lessons, following the national curriculum
* Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning
* Monitor and assess student progress both formally and informally, providing feedback to both students and parents when necessary
* Participating in the wider school community including extra-curriculars, trips and interventions
What we’re looking for:
* QTS with a background in History/Humanities
* Ability to create a calm and positive learning environment where good behaviour is maintained and students are able to access their full potential
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both students and staff
* Good knowledge of current teaching techniques and behaviour management strategies
* Strong knowledge of the national curriculum up to GCSE level
