Chelmsford College is seeking a talented Finance Assistant to join our team. As a Finance Assistant you will play a crucial role in supporting the Finance department and ensuring the smooth operation of our Finance service. The key responsibilities will be financial data entry which could include processing journals, invoices and other transactions.A key element of the role will be monthly reconciliation of control accounts including creditors, debtors, accruals and prepayments. In addition, you will be required to prepare financial tables and information for financial statements and auditors and general finance duties as required.Ideal candidates will possess the following key skills: Study AAT / ACCA (qualified by experience may be accepted) Strong numerical and analytical skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skillsThis is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home, 28 days of holiday including bank holidays and 10 professional development days per year.
