We are seeking 2 motivated and high-performing MedicalSecretaries to join the Wokingham Division of Modality Partnership. This part-timerole for 30 hours offers the opportunity to provide a high-quality referral andadministrative service, supporting GPs and wider clinical teams to delivertimely, patient-centred care across Primary Care and secondary care pathways.

Main duties of the job

This role is a varied, hands-on referral administrationposition requiring excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, andthe ability to prioritise work effectively. You will manage and processreferrals in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and adherence to practice andNHS protocols, while responding to varying levels of urgency across theDivision.

Working collaboratively with local divisions, DivisionalBoards, and the National Modality Business Support Team, you will contribute toefficient service delivery and support innovative approaches to referralmanagement. This role requires flexibility, initiative, and adaptability areessential. You will be expected to work resourcefully within the team to ensuretasks are completed to a high standard while meeting time-limited deadlines.

Pre-employment Requirements

Vaccinations As part of recruitment to Modality Partnership, vaccination status will be reviewed to support the management of individual and environmental risks. Support will be provided where required, and evidence may be requested for roles where vaccinations are mandatory.

Person Specification


Skills

* Highly accurate typing with advanced word-processing capability
* Strong diary management skills with the ability to organise and balance workloads
* Excellent prioritisation skills, ensuring deadlines are met in fast-paced environments


Knowledge

* Experience working in a high-volume administrative or medical secretarial role
* Knowledge of GP practice protocols and procedures
* Experience using NHS systemsCompetent in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and related software
* Understanding of medical terminology and referral pathways


Personal Qualities

* Professional and reliable approach to work
* Excellent telephone manner
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail
