This role provides the autonomy to lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, while working closely with the Non-Invasive Cardiac Physiology Team and the Cardiology Matron. You will play a vital part in delivering high standards of care, driving service improvements, and ensuring the department meets its operational targets.

Main duties of the job
You will work collaboratively with the Cardiac Physiology Lead for Non-Invasive Services, Non-Invasive Cardiac Physiology Team and the Cardiology Matron to ensure the efficient day-to-day operational management of the Cardiology Outpatient Department. You will be a visible and accessible leader within the department, easily identifiable to patients, relatives, and all staff.
As a key figure in the department, you will provide exceptional clinical leadership and foster a supportive environment for professional growth and development. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care, while ensuring the department meets its service and performance targets.
The post holder will take strategic responsibility for driving service improvements, managing staff performance and training, and promoting innovative approaches to outpatient nursing practice. You will also oversee compliance with trust policies, assist in financial management of departmental resources, and maintain high standards of patient safety and satisfaction.
