The Role
This is a newly created position that will help support this established finance team and liaise with senior managers and budget holders. This role is ideally suited to someone looking to kick on their career in accounting and press ahead with their accounting qualifications.
You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:
* Assist in the preparation of Monthly Management Accounts
* Prepare key account reconciliations including bank recs and supplier statement recs
* Produce accurate Finance reports to specific deadlines
* Complete Monthly VAT return
* Take ownership of Purchase Ledger and ensure all invoices are processed and coded correctly
* Assist in the preparation of year end audits
* Manage Cashflow, ensuring it is up to date, accurate and monitor trends
* Prepare sales invoices and post them to sales ledger ensuring they are paid promptly
* Assist with any ad hoc finance duties in and around the team
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:
* Ideally suited to someone part qualified or looking to pursue qualifications (AAT/ACCA/CIMA)
* A minimum of 2 years practical finance experience in a similar role.
* Previous experience using accounting softwares is preferential.
* Intermediate to advanced user of Excel
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
