What you’ll be getting stuck into as a Software Design Engineer
* Designing, modifying and maintaining embedded firmware across a varied product range
* Diagnosing and resolving software-related faults from production builds and customer returns
* Supporting product testing by ensuring firmware behaves correctly under real-world conditions
* Managing software revisions, documentation and change control across your own code library
* Contributing to product development projects and future technology research initiatives
* Providing technical support to colleagues by owning issues through to resolution
What you’ll bring to the table as a Software Design Engineer
* Previous experience within the electronics industry, including schematic interpretation and component-level fault diagnosis
* Embedded C/C++ development for small PCBs using IAR compilers
* Strong working knowledge of Texas Instruments MSP430 microcontrollers
* Practical electronics skills including soldering and use of oscilloscopes, multimeters and signal generators
* Familiarity with tools such as Jira, KiCAD, Crossworks or Code Composer Studio
