You’ll gain hands‑on experience in our Digital Services team, supporting the systems and innovations that underpin our operations and drive transformation across our network. From major digital infrastructure projects to the operational technology that keeps our roads running smoothly, and the critical business systems that support everything from HR to finance, you’ll be part of something that truly connects the country.

To Be Eligible For Our Placement Programme, You Must
* Be finishing the second year of your undergraduate degree programme in June 2026.
* Expected to achieve at least a 2:2 in a digital, IT, business, maths, engineering or sciences subject area.
* Be able attend a 2‑day induction from 29th‑30th June 2026.
* Hold an unrestricted Right to Work in the UK for the full duration of the placement. Due to the salary level of this role, we cannot offer sponsorship for the position for individuals that don’t have the Right to Work in the UK.
Assessment Centres will run in January and February 2026, and you’ll hear back soon after about whether you’ve secured a placement. All offers to the programme are subject to satisfactory completion of pre‑employment checks, including Right to Work, reference and DBS criminal record checks.
