Senior Registered Nurse – Inpateint Wards
Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £36,140 - £39,000 per annum
Discipline: Registered Nurse / Senior Staff Nurse / Ward Nurse
Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Registered Nurse to join a fast-moving ward environment in Banbury. This is an excellent opportunity to further your clinical career within a supportive setting, working as part of a skilled team committed to delivering safe, patient-centred care.
The post requires an enthusiastic individual who upholds high standards of nursing practice and is able to promote dignity, confidentiality, and safety at all times. Strong IT and communication skills are essential. You will also be open to developing additional clinical competencies in line with service requirements.
The ward is busy and fast paced, so you will need to remain calm under pressure, use sound clinical judgement, and contribute positively to a collaborative culture. Flexibility and motivation are key, along with the ability to work independently when required.

Responsibilities of the Senior Staff Nurse
* Deliver a high standard of evidence-based clinical care within the ward
* Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to achieve positive clinical outcomes
* Prioritise patient safety, wellbeing, dignity, and confidentiality
* Support the development of ward services through responsible practice and professional insight
* Use clinical knowledge to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs
* Maintain accurate records and effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues
Requirements of the Senior Staff Nurse
* Registered Nurse qualification (or equivalent)
* NMC registration
* Experience working as a Staff Nurse or Senior Staff Nurse within a ward setting
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
* Adaptable and flexible to meet evolving service needs
* Demonstrated customer service and IT skills
* Commitment to ongoing professional development
* Previous private healthcare experience is desirable
