3 Month Contract with a local Authority Job Purpose To install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The plumber ensures that all work complies with relevant codes and safety standards, providing reliable and efficient plumbing services to meet client needs. Key Duties/Accountabilities Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in residential and commercial structures. Read blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials. Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues and recommend effective solutions. Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems using pressure gauges and other tools. Cut, assemble, and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure. Collaborate with construction professionals, electricians, and other tradespeople on new builds and renovations. Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and health and safety regulations. Maintain accurate records of time spent on jobs, materials used, and work completed. Respond to emergency plumbing calls and perform after-hours repairs when necessary. Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients. Essential Experience Required. Proven experience as a plumber (typically 2–5 years). Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations.
