Overview

Location: Bacup and Barnoldswick

Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 per annum (inclusive of sleep-in payments)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Are you a passionate and resilient individual looking to make a genuine impact in the lives of children and young people? An established and forward-thinking provider of therapeutic residential care is seeking Residential Childcare Workers to join their dedicated team.

This organisation specialises in delivering high-quality, child-centred care to young people aged 8–18 who have experienced trauma and face emotional and behavioural challenges. Their homes offer a safe, nurturing environment where tailored therapeutic care plans support each child’s growth, healing, and long-term success.


Responsibilities

* Support the day-to-day care, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people in a residential setting.
* Build trusted, meaningful relationships through consistent care and emotional support.
* Assist in the delivery of personalised therapeutic plans in line with each child’s unique needs.
* Promote positive routines, attend appointments, and encourage educational and social development.
* Work closely with professionals from health, education, and social care sectors.
* Maintain accurate and timely electronic records.


What We're Looking For

* Experience working with children and young people; residential care experience is highly desirable.
* A good understanding of child development and the effects of trauma.
* Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
* A caring, proactive, and resilient approach.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.

Essential Requirements

* A full UK driving licence
