We’re working with a supportive school in the S35 area of Sheffield that’s looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant with SEMH experience. This is a long-term role running until Easter, giving you the chance to build strong relationships and make a real difference, not just cover a gap.
What you’ll be doing:
* Supporting pupils with SEMH needs in the classroom and around school
* Helping children regulate emotions and engage with learning
* Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams
* Being a steady, reassuring presence on the tricky days, and the good ones too
What the school is looking for:
* Experience supporting children with SEMH or challenging behaviour
* A calm, resilient approach and a good sense of humour when it’s needed
* Someone reliable, consistent, and genuinely passionate about pupil wellbeing
* School-based experience is ideal, but relevant care or youth work backgrounds are welcomed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
