The 53‑bed care home provides nursing and residential‑dementia care. Responsibilities
* Oversee and assist all aspects of nursing and care provision within the home.
* Create and update individual care plans for residents, keeping medication records clear and accurate.
* Maintain correct staffing levels by managing rotas and ensuring adequate staffing at all times.
* Provide day‑to‑day support and guidance to the team, promoting residents' independence, choice and dignity.
* Build lasting relationships with residents and their families, fostering a sense of community.
* Develop and nurture strong relationships with local partners, raising the care home’s profile.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin is highly desirable but not essential.
* Previous experience as a Deputy Manager within a care home environment is essential.
* Deep understanding of the benefits that nursing care can bring to residents' lives.
* Knowledge of tissue viability, infection control and care planning.
* Excellent communication skills, able to build strong and honest relationships with residents and families.
* Natural leadership, capable of mentoring a team, delegating effectively and fostering excellent customer service.
* Excellent time‑management and prioritisation skills.
* Respectful, compassionate team player with a commitment to give personal best.
