Job Description

New Directions Education are currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2/3 Teaching Assistants to work across primary schools in Nantwich. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and development within a positive and inclusive school environment.

The schools we work with in Nantwich are welcoming and supportive, with a strong focus on pupil wellbeing, inclusive practice, and high-quality teaching and learning. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience across different year groups and classroom settings.

Due to the nature of these opportunities, candidates must be able to commit to working 3 or more days per week.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting the class teacher with the delivery of lessons and activities
• Working across EYFS, KS1, and/or KS2 depending on school needs
• Supporting pupils with a range of learning needs and abilities
• Promoting pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Monitoring and recording pupil progress where required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Experience working within a primary school setting (desirable)
• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
• A full driving licence and access to transport (desirable)

All applicants must have, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check and provide appropriate professional references.
