As a Senior Management Accountant, we are looking for an individual who can provide effective Management Accounting service to the business, maintaining the General Ledger, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the company's financial records, providing timely information to the business.
Duties include:
* Ensure accurate preparation of the monthly management accounts for the specified divisions, including revenue, prepayments, accruals and fixed assets.
* Prepare necessary journals to account for revenues and costs (including accruals and prepayments), ensuring all entries are accurately processed through the GL so that Management Accounts are produced and issued in accordance with internal guidelines in appropriate formats.
* Provide insightful P&L variance analysis and commentary of revenues and costs to Finance, ensuring the accuracy and legitimacy of the accounts.
* Taking ownership of the designated Divisional P&L and business partnering including attending monthly/quarterly meetings with Regional Directors.
* Identify and implement process improvements to drive greater efficiency, improve accuracy in the production of the management accounts.
* Ensuring the Balance Sheet is Audit compliant, working with the team to resolve any anomalies in the correct period and ensuring the schedules are clean, robust and ready for the Annual Audit.
* Provide necessary support during Audit process by dealing with any queries from Auditors.
* Provide cover for other members of the team as appropriate.
* Other duties as are within the scope and spirit of the job and the title of the position that may arise from time to time or as required by management members of the team as appropriate.
Skills required:
* Good written and oral communication skills
* Able to plan and prioritise
* Excellent IT skills - Experience of Microsoft suite of products, Word, Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup) etc
* Attention to detail
* Able to analyse and summarise high volumes of data
* Able to communicate at all levels
* Experience of Microsoft Dynamics (GP, AX, or 365)
* Experience of multi-site businesses with high volumes of data and cost centres.
* Knowledge of Divisional / Regional / Branch accounting.
* ACCA or CIMA qualified.
* GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above).
* Experience of working in a sales orientated industry
