Reporting to the Finance Director, you will support the entire UK SPORTFIVE business on the end-to-end accounts payable process, as well as supporting with treasury and accounts receivable responsibilities.
Transacting in a number of currencies, with suppliers operating all over the world, the role will require close attention to detail and the ability to execute complex transactions in our Finance system. This position will involve regular communication with internal and external stakeholders, both in the UK and globally, making strong interpersonal skills essential.
The primary responsibilities of this role will include:
* Liaising with operational staff to ensure the accuracy and completeness of purchase orders raised in the system
* Matching purchase orders to invoices and processing invoices in the system
* Process payments for outstanding invoices
* Process bank transactions and reconcile accounts
* Verify vendor accounts by reconciling statements. Enter new or update vendor names and data
* Create, send and follow up on customer invoices
* Play a key role in identifying opportunities for internal process improvements to ensure finance administration tasks are carried out via efficient processes
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all departments
* Good level of computer literacy, including a proficiency with Microsoft Excel
* Experience working with a business system such as SAP
* An interest in sport is desirable, but not essential
