We are seeking a highly skilled
Business Analyst
to join our client's - a leading legal firm - team in Glasgow, Scotland.
* Hybrid Work: 3 days/week onsite in Glasgow.
* Employment Type: Full time - permanent work contract directly with the client.
Description:
This role is pivotal in driving process improvement initiatives across the business, with a strong focus on defining and documenting requirements for enhancements to their case management system.
The successful candidate will also support analysis of broader business processes influenced by emerging technologies and systems, including artificial intelligence, records management, CRM, information security, finance, and HR.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the analysis and documentation of business processes across legal and support functions.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, validate, and prioritise business requirements.
* Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for the in-house development team.
* Work closely with developers, testers, project managers, and Learning & Development to ensure successful delivery of system enhancements and process changes.
* Identify opportunities for process optimisation and automation.
* Analyse the impact of new technologies and systems on existing workflows.
* Support change initiatives across departments including a variety of legal departments, Finance, HR, and Information Security.
* Facilitate workshops, interviews, and other techniques to elicit requirements and drive consensus.
* Maintain documentation including process maps, user stories, functional specifications, and business cases.
* Ensure solutions align with regulatory requirements, data protection standards, and internal governance.
Requirements:
Essential:
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst of at least 3 years.
* Proven ability to work across a diverse range of business areas and subject matters, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in understanding new domains and translating complex requirements into practical solutions.
* Strong understanding of business process modelling and requirements gathering techniques.
* Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, documentation and presentation skills.
Desirable:
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst within legal or other professional services or regulated environments.
* Experience working with case management systems or similar workflow platforms.
* Familiarity with agile project delivery methodologies.
* Experience with AI tools, CRM systems, or records management platforms.
* Knowledge of legal operations or law firm structures.
* Business Analysis certification.
