Ringway Jacobs has an exciting opportunity for a
Supervisor
to join our Construction Team in Cheshire.
In this role, you will oversee the delivery of the Council's highways improvement programme, covering carriageway and footway enhancements, structural patching, surface treatments, road marking renewals, vehicle restraint system works, and street furniture upgrades.
You will also support other commissioned projects to ensure they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The Role
* Supervise the delivery of allocated schemes within the annual programme of works.
* Ensure all projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in line with the Works Information.
* Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations and CDM requirements.
* Review Supply Chain Partner risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH documentation.
* Carry out site inductions, issue permits to work, and actively promote RJ's Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Procedures.
* Co-ordinate resources effectively, including internal staff, shareholder resources, external consultants, and contractors.
* Ensure Supply Chain Partners deliver to agreed standards.
* Produce weekly progress reports and maintain daily site diaries.
* Supervise occasional out-of-hours works (nights or weekends).
About You
Qualifications (preferred):
* NRSWA Supervisor, SSSTS, SMSTS, CSCS Supervisor, Temporary Works Supervisor, First Aid at Work.
Experience & Skills:
* Background in construction, ideally within highways.
* Experience working near underground services.
* Knowledge of supervising or using traffic management.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Strong IT, written, and verbal communication skills.
* Problem-solving ability with a systematic and logical approach.
* Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
* Professional and composed approach, with the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
