Our community has been a home for individuals with social, emotional, intellectual, and learning disabilities since 1978, offering both day and residential care in the beautiful surroundings near Dunkeld, Perthshire. Corbenic is a Scottish registered charity where individuals live and work together in healthy social relationships, based on mutual care and respect.

Job Description
Title of Post: Workshop Relief
Contract Type: Relief (Zero hours contract - work is on an 'as and when required' basis)
Working Hours: Between Monday and Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (as and when required)
General Responsibilities:
Support adults with learning disabilities in engaging with various workshop tasks, including in the bakery, craft, pottery, woodwork, and more.
Encourage residents to develop their skills, work on projects, and participate in group activities within the workshops.
Assist in creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where individuals feel valued and able to contribute.
Help residents with navigating their daily workshop tasks, offering guidance, support, and encouragement.
Work collaboratively with the workshop team to maintain a positive and productive atmosphere.
Support residents in attending community events or outings as needed, helping them to engage with wider experiences outside the workshops.
Contribute to ensuring the smooth running of workshop operations by assisting in setup, clean-up, and other necessary tasks.
Maintain accurate records as required for activities and participation in the workshops.
Requirements:
A compassionate and adaptable approach with a genuine interest in supporting people with learning disabilities.
Previous experience in a similar setting is beneficial but not essential.
A friendly and proactive attitude, with the ability to support people in a workshop environment.
Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Ability to engage in a range of activities and support people with different abilities.
