Mechanical Day Technician
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain high levels of efficiency and effectiveness while adhering to all safety standards and organizational policies.
* Deliver both planned preventative and reactive maintenance on processing equipment, mechanical systems, and site infrastructure.
* Monitor, record, and report on asset performance to contribute to long-term reliability.
* Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and faults to minimize downtime.
* Utilize maintenance management systems to track, plan, and manage all activities.
* Coordinate and oversee the activities of subcontractors.
* Apply safe systems of work, including Permit to Work (PTW) and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) protocols.
* Provide clear handovers and maintain accurate logbook records through strong communication skills.
What You Will Bring
* Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or a qualification at NVQ level in Mechanical Engineering.
* A strong track record in maintenance scheduling and structured work packs.
* Proficiency in using business systems for operational tasks and reporting.
* A solid understanding of SHEQ procedures and compliance in a regulated environment.
* Knowledge of waste processes is considered an advantage.
* A flexible and dependable approach to providing operational support cover.
