As an AI/ML Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the central Applied Artificial Intelligence team, you will support the Corporate Functions (including Risk, Finance, Compliance & Legal) by designing, building, and supporting AI-powered software products leveraging news, company filings, and other media to provide insights across various use cases.
We’re looking for someone who cares about producing high-quality, maintainable software; is eager to develop skills across a broad and evolving technology stack (centered on Python, ReactJS, traditional & generative AI, and AWS infrastructure); possesses strong analytical skills and an interest in AI engineering. You should have solid Python coding and cloud engineering skills, recent experience with enterprise-grade SDLC tooling, and a passion for robust, resilient user-facing software systems.
Job responsibilities
* Contribute to AI product delivery, including requirement elicitation, planning, design, development, monitoring, and troubleshooting
* Write high-quality, secure library and application code in Python & deploy containerized solutions on public cloud infrastructure
* Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot with consideration of system interactions and implications
* Use SDLC tools to improve automation and efficiency
* Apply technical troubleshooting to resolve moderate complexity issues
* Collaborate with business and tech colleagues to solve problems and improve processes
* Contribute to AI and application governance
* Learn and apply system development methodologies for secure, stable systems

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* STEM training or certification and practical experience
* Degree in a STEM field
* Interest in AI technology in industry
* Experience programming in Python
* Experience with containerized applications
* Strong analytical thinking skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Experience with natural language processing models
* Knowledge of AWS infrastructure and Terraform
* Experience with Azure & OpenAI LLMs
* Front-end development skills, ideally with ReactJS
