Salary: up to £41,820.68 per annum
About Us
We are the largest provider of repairs and maintenance, and regeneration services across the UK. Mears provides tailored rapid-response and planned maintenance services through partnering arrangements with more than 70 local authorities, Arm’s Length Management Organisations, and Housing Associations.
Responsibilities
* Manage operative performance and productivity to achieve KPIs.
* Ensure site health and safety through site packs, inspections, and monthly compliance checks.
* Respond promptly to internal and external queries.
* Produce scope of works where not supplied, including variations.
* Conduct pre-start, mid, and post-work inspections.
* Assess completed orders (desktop) ensuring sufficient photographic evidence and notes to support invoicing.
* Manage subcontractors, ensuring targets and quality standards are met.
* Monitor diaries for correct allocation of skills and time frames.
* Conduct appraisals for assigned operatives.
* Attend client meetings as required.
* Interview new operatives and liaise with Mears recruitment.
* Induct new operatives.
* Manage HR issues for direct labour operatives with assistance from Mears HR department.
* Perform all other duties associated with a supervisor role.
Role Criteria
* Experience in building maintenance.
* Previous supervisory experience.
* Line management experience.
* Good customer service skills.
* UK full driving licence.
Additional Requirements
All roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK. Mears does not offer visa sponsorship currently.
To drive a Mears vehicle, candidates must be over 21, have held their licence for over 3 months, and have less than 9 points on their licence.
All roles are subject to DBS/security checks prior to employment.
