Ladywood School is an Outstanding Special School situated in Bolton. It caters for primary aged pupils with complex learning difficulties. Ladywood is a proud member of Woodbridge Trust, which is a local partnership with Firwood School, Woodbridge SEND Service and Woodbridge College.


Ladywood has been judged as an outstanding school by OFSTED on 4 consecutive occasions, most recently in January 2023.

Due to the rapid expansion of our school and increasing student numbers, we are now seeking to appoint an SMSA who is passionate about supporting our student’s with a range of special educational needs. There are two different hours variations available, either 15 hours per week which is a spilt role providing dinner time support and intimate care from 11.30am to 2.30pm, or 7.5 hours per week which will be dinner time support only from 11.30am to 1.00pm. Both roles are Monday to Friday, term time only.


Contract: 15 or 7.5 hours per week Term Time only

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: Grade D Scale Point 6 - 11

Actual Salary: £8809 - £9387 for 15 hours per week/ £4404 - £4769 for 7.5 hours per week
