Job Description
Our Geomatics team is transforming how we understand and interact with the built environment. We capture spatial data with precision to support architectural design and Building Information Models (BIM). This two-year program is designed for graduates who want to specialize as Land/Measured Building Surveyors. You will gain hands-on experience across a range of spatial data capture techniques using the latest Land Surveying technology, and you will be part of the Geomatics team with opportunities to gain experience across market sectors.
We are committed to your professional growth and will provide support to help you achieve your Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) and membership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Responsibilities
* Conduct surveys on-site using tools such as total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, laser scanners and drones.
* Data processing: import, clean and process raw field data.
* Use software (e.g., AutoCAD) to analyse and manipulate data.
* Generate reports and perform analyses to identify issues, calculate areas, volumes and other measurements.
* Create drawings and models: detailed plans, sections, elevations and 3D models of buildings and sites.

Qualifications
* Ideally an RICS-accredited degree with a minimum 2:1, in Geospatial Surveying, Mapping or GIS-related field
* Non-cognate students from Geography with a minimum 2:1 are welcome
* Technical understanding of building surveying and a genuine interest in real estate and the built environment

Other Requirements
In some regional roles, the ability to drive may be necessary due to the location of client offices. For roles in Defence, you may need Baseline Personnel Security Standard check and UKSV SC clearance after accepting an offer. SOX control responsibilities may apply where relevant.
