Overview
At Boden, our Allocators play a key role in making sure the right stock reaches the right place at the right time. This role supports the Merchandising team to plan and deliver the 'best of Boden' ranges across Partnerships and Retail, helping to maximise demand and minimise risk.
Location: 3–4 days per week at our North Acton office, 1–2 days working from home.
What You Will Do
* Keep PLM up to date with accurate bought quantities, aligned to Childrenswear and Womenswear option planners.
* Support Monday trade meetings by refreshing pivots and ensuring accuracy of reported data.
* Build an understanding of best sellers and key demand drivers.
* Allocate initial stock packages in line with plans and review replenishment parameters with the Assistant Merchandiser to maximise demand and reduce risk.
* Reserve stock ahead of season launches, monitor in-season performance, and release stock to Direct when appropriate.
* Switch off lines approaching end-of-life, markdown, or slow-seller status to control terminal stock and mitigate risks.
* Chair weekly allocation meetings, highlighting delivery issues, delays, and the impact on availability.
* Support hind-sighting and alignment across Partner and Direct channels.
* Use Thoughtspot, S5 and store portals to export and analyse information.
* Work collaboratively across teams to ensure aligned, efficient processes.
* Act as the Allocation & Replenishment (A&R) expert, controlling stock levels to ensure availability in the right place at the right time.
What We're Looking For
* A genuine interest in building a career in merchandising.
* Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
* Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail.
* Clear communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
* Good time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
* Retail or administrative experience (advantageous but not essential).
* Agile, adaptable, and proactive in problem-solving.
* Customer and brand focused, with a drive for continuous learning and development.
