Job Description:
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million with regional and national services.
The position offers a 5 out of 7 shift pattern, with salary pro-rata for part-time hours.
Glasgow is a vibrant city known for its attractions, food scene, and nightlife. Within South Sector, the AHP teams collaborate to deliver high-quality patient care. We are seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Older Peoples Services Outpatient Team on a part-time, permanent basis.
Applicants must have a Diploma/Degree in occupational therapy and be registered with HCPC. Significant postgraduate experience, especially in Older Peoples Services or relevant specialties, is essential. The role involves managing a complex outpatient caseload, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term condition management. You will be responsible for supervising rotational staff, support workers, and students, as well as leading service development and change initiatives.
Development through the four pillars of practice, CPD, audit, and research participation are encouraged. The role may require participation in seven-day or extended hours working.
Further contact details are available within the Candidate Information Packs. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde values diversity and inclusion and supports applications from all community sections. We are committed to being a Forces Friendly Employer and recognize military skills and experience.
From 1 April 2024, NHS Scotland is reducing the full-time workweek to 37 hours, with proportional adjustments for part-time staff. This may include temporary additional hours until new rosters are implemented.
Applicants must submit authentic responses to all application questions, avoiding AI or third-party assistance, as misrepresentation may lead to application withdrawal. For portal issues, please contact the designated support contact.
