What You’ll Do
As an Infrastructure Operations Specialist for OT and IT, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) infrastructure critical to our Gigafactory in Somerset. This includes ensuring the seamless operation of IT systems, networks, and applications that support the manufacturing processes, and maintaining operational readiness of the OT and IT ecosystem in manufacturing settings, facilitating uninterrupted business operations and continuity.
By closely partnering with Manufacturing stakeholders, you will align infrastructure strategies with business needs, driving efficiency, innovation, and performance. Your technical insight and collaborative approach will be pivotal in creating a robust, future‑ready infrastructure for the organization.
What You’ll Bring
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a focus on OT and IT integration within manufacturing environments.
* Extensive experience in managing OT systems (e.g., SCADA, PLCs, IoT devices) and IT infrastructure (e.g., networks, servers) for manufacturing facilities.
* Knowledge of OT and IT applications such as MES, PLM, LIMS, CAD, Simulation Tools, and other digital solutions.
* Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills to foster collaboration between IT, OT, and business stakeholders.
* Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language for effective stakeholder engagement.
* Proven skills in identifying and resolving complex issues within OT and IT systems, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing operations.
* Ability to make informed decisions in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.
* Experience in planning, organizing, and executing OT and IT infrastructure projects, including budget management and vendor negotiations.
