Signature Recruitment is seeking a compassionate and capable Student Support Advisor to join a respected London University on a temporary basis.
This is a full-time temporary role for a few months, providing vital support within a small but high-impact Student Support team. Based in London, the position offers hybrid working and the pay rate is £23.92 per hour plus holiday pay. This position sits at the heart of the student experience. You will provide front-line pastoral support, meeting students one-to-one and helping them navigate challenges that may affect their studies or wellbeing. Working alongside an experienced advisor and reporting into a Senior Manager who oversees high-risk cases, you will handle low to medium risk situations with care, clarity and confidence.

Student Support Advisor - Key Responsibilities:
* Meet students one-to-one, online and in person, to assess wellbeing concerns and immediate needs
* Use professional judgement to identify risk levels and determine appropriate next steps
* Signpost or escalate cases in line with safeguarding and support procedures
* Coordinate and administer Support for Study meetings, including preparing paperwork and tracking actions
* Maintain accurate and timely case notes on the student record system
* Complete attendance monitoring workflows and provide administrative support linked to student wellbeing
Student Support Advisor - Key Skills:
* Experience supporting students or young people in a pastoral, safeguarding or wellbeing capacity
* Strong emotional intelligence and confidence managing sensitive conversations independently
* Excellent organisation with disciplined case note recording and action tracking
* Calm, resilient and able to maintain professional boundaries in challenging situations
