The Opportunity
EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is delivering the design for nuclear island buildings, systems, and equipment for the Hinkley Point C Project, while also preparing replication and engineering activities for Sizewell C. As part of a joint venture between EDF and Framatome, EPR-E is at the forefront of nuclear innovation.
In this role, you’ll lead the coordination of building design activities, ensuring technical integration and stakeholder alignment. You’ll manage design maturity, resolve technical challenges, and support both HPC and SZC projects, contributing to the successful delivery of high‑impact infrastructure.

The salary for this role starts at £64,000, depending on experience (Grade C). What You’ll Be Doing
* Oversee the coordination of building design activities, ensuring studies are complete, consistent, and delivered on time to high‑quality standards.
* Guide internal and external contributors, verify technical outputs, and manage the design risk register.
* Identify, schedule, launch activities lead technical integration, working across disciplines to ensure design maturity and consistency.
* Analyse input data, challenge change requests, resolve technical issues for both HPC and SZC projects.
* Ensure seamless integration of all engineering disciplines using advanced 3D modelling tools, driving quality and innovation across nuclear infrastructure.
Who You Are
* You hold a general engineering degree (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical) and have strong understanding of engineering design sequences.
* Experience spans multiple engineering domains, familiar with layout rules, plant design constraints, and 3D modelling tools like PDMS.
* You understand Eurocodes for civil engineering and have experience in project management, ideally within the UK nuclear sector.
* You’re collaborative, detail‑oriented, and ready to lead in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.
