Materials/Warehouse Technician

Contract – Duration up to December 2025, with possibility of extension. Pay rate £18.18‑£21.98 per hour (PAYE, Umbrella rates available). Work hours Monday‑Friday 8:30 am‑4:30 pm. Immediate start.
Location
Torness (on site at a nuclear power station)
Key responsibilities
* Receipt and inspection of spares and materials, reviewing documentation to ensure adherence to specification.
* Issue and return of spare parts and materials.
* Cycle counting and in‑warehouse parts life management.
* General warehouse duties, interacting with goods deliveries and collections.
* Using forklift trucks for parts management and logistics.
* Undertake necessary admin tasks.
Required skills and experience
* Experience working in a parts warehouse / logistics environment (essential).
* Ability to interpret and interrogate product datasheets, certifications and spreadsheet data.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, multi‑tasking ability and keen eye for detail.
* Competency with Microsoft Office applications and general IT proficiency.
* UK driving licence (mandatory).
Preferred or training‑granted skills
* Forklift licence (counter‑balance and reach truck) – not essential; training will be provided.
Additional information
The position may require weekend work on a rota basis during specific station events due to the nature of nuclear power stations.
