Mental Health Assistant – Bracknell (ASAP Start)
Harmonia Careers is looking for a bright and enthusiastic Mental Health Assistant to support the academic learning, emotional wellbeing, and behaviour of students at a specialist school in Bracknell. The students are aged 8‑18 with complex social, emotional, and mental health needs. The role is full‑time, starting as soon as possible or in September 2023.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide consistent, child‑centred support to students to promote their academic progress and emotional wellbeing.
* Assist in implementing therapeutic strategies designed by therapists, counsellors, and psychologists.
* Support the development of behaviour plans and provide behavioural assistance during school activities.
* Help facilitate peer and staff collaboration to create a supportive learning environment.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
* Graduates in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Counselling, Criminology, Educational or Occupational Psychology) are particularly welcomed.
* Strong empathy, resilience, and a genuine interest in working with children who have special educational needs.
Compensation & Working Hours
* Salary: £85‑£100 per day.
* Full‑time: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
* Location: Bracknell, England.
