Consultant Cellular Pathologists (Breast & Uropathology) - x2 posts at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. The post is for a medically-qualified histopathologist who holds FRCPath Part 2 or is within 6 months of being awarded GMC specialist registration by CCT or CESR to work within BSPS and at East Surrey Hospital.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will join a team established for 10 consultants. The main laboratory is at the Royal Surrey County hub, with cut-up and reporting retained at East Surrey Hospital. The role requires knowledge, skills and experience in general histopathology reporting with a sub-specialty interest and experience in either Urology and/or Breast reporting and MDT involvement. There is a programme to roll out digital pathology imaging across the BSPS network. There are opportunities for flexible working, including from home and at other hospital sites in the network, and for developing a role in clinical leadership, coronial work and academic, teaching and research activity through the Trust’s active R&D department and its associations with Brighton & Sussex Medical School and the University of Surrey. BSPS serves six hospitals across five NHS Trusts: Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital, Frimley Park Hospital, Wexham Park Hospital, Royal Surrey County Hospital, Royal Berkshire Hospital and East Surrey Hospital. East Surrey Hospital employs around 6,000 staff and serves a population of about 780,000. The Trust provides emergency and planned healthcare across East Surrey, North-East West Sussex and South Croydon, with sites including The Earlswood Centre, Caterham Dene Hospital, Oxted Health Centre, Crawley Hospital and Horsham Hospital.
Qualifications
With Sub-specialty Experience/interest In Urology And/Or Breast. Applications are invited from medically-qualified histopathologists who hold FRCPath Part 2 or are within 6 months of being awarded GMC specialist registration by CCT or CESR.
