Overview
Infrastructure and Security Engineer – Up to £50,000 DOE. Full-time onsite in Gloucestershire. Permanent role with a lifestyle brand investing in its infrastructure and security capabilities.
Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable IT infrastructure across all sites.
* Collaborate with outsourced partners and internal stakeholders to ensure high availability, compliance, and security.
* Manage and improve physical and virtual infrastructure across all locations.
* Lead infrastructure projects including new site setups and cloud migrations.
* Liaise with MSPs and outsourced partners on infrastructure and security.
* Ensure high availability of core systems (network, servers, storage, firewalls).
* Implement and maintain compliance frameworks (e.g. PCI-DSS, GDPR).
* Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
* Monitor system health, vulnerabilities, and patching.
* Manage endpoint protection, access control, and threat detection.

* Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, Umbrella, Mimecast
* VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter
* SolarWinds, PRTG, AV/CCTV systems
* Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), RBAC, MFA
Ideal Candidate
* Strong experience in both physical and virtual infrastructure.
* Background in retail or hospitality environments with POS exposure.
* Hands-on with networking, firewalls, cloud security, and IAM.
* Familiar with compliance, patching, and endpoint security best practices.
