Learning Support Assistant. Full Time. Temp to Perm position. School based in Farnborough. £13.75 an hour. We are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated Learning Support Assistant to join a dedicated Primary School based in Farnborough from October half term or sooner. The successful applicant will be required to join a strong, supportive team of support staff to support teaching and learning of all children of all abilities in KS1 and KS2. The role will involve you teaching whole classes on occasions and supporting pupils’ learning in a range of subjects also working with individual pupils and small groups. Your support will extend into lunchtimes covering lunchtime duties. Requirements: An enhanced child only DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one. Contact references covering the last 24 months and any schools worked at in the last 10 years. An up-to-date CV outlining career history. Proof of ID and two proofs of address. The successful candidate will have: Recent successful experience as an LSA within a primary setting or working with children. GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) grade C or above. Experience in or confidence to cover classes when necessary. A clear understanding of assessment for learning in order to feedback and respond effectively to pupil learning. Excellent positive behaviour management skills. A positive attitude and be flexible to the demands of the role and the needs of the school. The skills to work independently and with initiative. The ability to plan, evaluate pupils' progress and adapt lesson plans when necessary. Acute self-awareness, emotional intelligence and the ability to work well as part of a team.
