Key Duties
* Deliver healthcare to detainees in custody suites.
* Ensure the safety of detainees with round‑the‑clock coverage in line with client schedules.
* Work flexible shifts across your base custody suite, an assigned region, and the broader Police Custody Suites and Force area.
* Collaborate with police to provide care and maintain client‑approved rosters.
Compensation and Working Hours
* Salary: £41,000 per year
* £1,000 bonus upon completion of 12 months of service
* Full‑time shift pattern: 4 shifts on and 4 days off; 06:45‑19:00 for 2‑day shifts, followed by 18:45‑07:00 nights. Rolling rota available 2 years in advance.
* Average estimated overtime: £3,500 per annum
* NMC/HCPC registration paid
Qualifications
* RN, RGN or RMN (with dual registration); minimum 2 years post‑qualification (Band 5 minimum)
* Paramedic; minimum 2 years post‑qualification
* At least two years post‑qualification experience in a patient‑facing role in relevant clinical settings: Accident & Emergency, General Practice, Emergency Medicine, Acute Medicine, Prison Healthcare, or Ambulance Service.
* Driving licence
* Right to work in the UK (British passport or ILR for 3 years, no absences out of the country exceeding 3 months)
* Police vetting required
