Job Overview
Cardiac Physiologist – Band 5 – Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Closing date: 29 April 2026. The position may close prior to the closing date if sufficient suitable applications are received.
Main Duties
* Carry out and interpret ECGs.
* Provide analysis for ambulatory ECGs and BP recordings.
* Conduct exercise tolerance testing.
* Provide technical support during pacemaker and implantable loop recorder implantation.
* Develop skills in pacemaker follow‑up and contribute to ILR follow‑up service.
* Support specialist training towards national accreditation in CRM or Echo.
* Participate in delivery of specialist clinical diagnostic services and deliver high standard of care including 12‑lead ECG, ambulatory monitoring, pacemaker/ICD implantation assistance, exercise testing, and transthoracic echocardiograms.
* Assist during TOE and stress echo procedures.
* Model compassionate and inclusive leadership, supporting coaching, learning and quality improvement.
Person Specification
* BSc in Clinical Physiology, Healthcare Sciences (Cardiology) or equivalent.
* Registered with the Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists, the Academy of Healthcare Sciences, or be actively pursuing registration.
* Immediate Life Support (to be gained within first 6 months if not already obtained).
Experience and Knowledge
* Knowledge and experience in coaching and mentoring, quality improvement tools and techniques.

Remuneration
£32,073 to £39,043 a year pro rata per annum.
