HLTA – Speech and Language Specialism – Immediate Start

Hours: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Contract: Ongoing – Term Time Only
Pay Rate: £115–£150 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

GSL Education Manchester is delighted to be working with a welcoming and inclusive school in North Manchester to recruit a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant with recognised Speech and Language qualifications. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a meaningful difference in a supportive school setting.
About the Role:
You'll play a key role in supporting pupils across the school with speech and language needs, working closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to deliver tailored interventions and promote effective communication and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver targeted speech and language interventions
Support classroom learning and adapt materials for pupils with SLCN (Speech, Language, and Communication Needs)
Assist teachers in assessing pupil progress and adapting strategies accordingly
Build strong relationships with students to promote confidence and communication
Liaise with families and other professionals to support holistic pupil development
What We’re Looking For:
HLTA status or equivalent experience
Relevant Speech and Language qualifications (e.g. Elklan, SaLT training, etc.)
Proven experience supporting children with speech, language, and communication difficulties
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
A proactive, nurturing, and flexible approach
