requires critical analysis of clinical information to advocate for best practice treatment and timely recovery to allow the injured person to move forward with their life as soon as possible.
Working within a passionate team of allied health professionals, you will be provided with support to learn and thrive in this exciting but demanding role.
What you’ll do (not limited to):
 1. Work alongside the claims team leader and technical advisor to create a high performing team delivering positive outcomes to injured people and driving shareholder value
 2. Review claim files and provide subject matter expertise to claims advisors – including interpreting medical reports, providing injury management advice and determining rehabilitation and treatment requirements
 3. Prepare professional written and verbal advice to claims advisors on reasonable and appropriate treatment and rehabilitation services, and recommendations for future rehabilitation management
 4. Provide consistent injury management expertise to ensure ongoing quality decisions and provide input into claims strategy
 5. Share knowledge, coach and mentor claims advisors to develop independent injury management capabilities
 6. Build external relationships with best in class treatment and service providers to assist injured people meet their recovery goals
 7. Support the injury management team leader to identify development opportunities and trends to improve individual and team performance and claim outcomes.
What you will bring:
 8. Degree in Allied Health related discipline is mandatory
 9. Minimum 2 years clinical experience and/or occupational rehabilitation experience is desirable
 10. Ability to independently prioritise your work
 11. Ability to use technology platforms to manage caseload effectively
 12. Excellent written and verbal communication
 13. Ability to make effective decisions in a timely manner and in line with delegated authority
 14. Willingness to develop skills to manage difficult conversations with injured people, external health professionals and legal professionals
