Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef with menu planning, development, and costing.
* Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standard and in a timely manner.
* Supervise kitchen staff and delegate tasks effectively.
* Ensure compliance with food hygiene, safety, and allergen regulations (HACCP/COSHH).
* Manage stock levels, complete orders, and minimise food waste.
* Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organisation to required standards.
* Support in training, mentoring, and motivating junior chefs.
* Step in to lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
* Contribute to new ideas for seasonal dishes and specials.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar supervisory kitchen role.
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery (or equivalent experience).
* Food Hygiene and Safety Level 2/3 certification.
* Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen operations, and menu planning.
* Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
