We have an amazing opportunity for a creative, passionate and dedicated individual to join our wonderful team and become part of our TLC family as a Resident Wellbeing & Activities Manager.
You will have responsibility for leading a team to plan, design, organise and deliver engaging activities and lifestyle opportunities that are person centred and enable our residents’ wishes to come true.
You will create a stimulating environment that promote lifestyle choices, happiness, development and fun whilst leading our team in accordance with our TLC values.
We are looking for an outgoing individual who strives to make a difference every day to the lives of our residents and supports a one team approach, working in partnership with team members, residents and relatives.
Responsibilities
* Help develop and carry out ways to effectively assess residents’ social, emotional and physical wellbeing needs.
* Support and inspire a team of Well-being & Activities leads to deliver consistently high quality services to our residents.
* Support the setup of internal and community-based opportunities to meet residents’ wellbeing and activity needs.
* Ensure wellbeing opportunities are accessible to all residents, including those with higher physical or cognitive support needs.
* Contribute to planning and running programmes that reduce isolation and promote wellbeing for residents at all levels of ability.
* Support and guide Activities and Wellbeing teams to build confidence and skills in creating person-centred activity plans that reflect residents’ interests and goals.
* Help teams involve residents in shaping their own daily routines and environments, including using technology and other tools to support independence and choice.
* Assist in creating development materials for Activities and Wellbeing team members to help them deliver consistent, high-quality support with continuous improvement in mind.
You will support the Leadership Team on our journey to outstanding.
Requirements
* Occupational Therapy and/or Learning Disability professional
* Able to travel (Surrey - Cambridgeshire)
* Excellent verbal, written and IT skills to communicate, present, mentor and coach, make information accessible
* Positive, resourceful, people-centric individual with ability to share, communicate and drive vision and project goals.
