Description
1. Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance.
2. Ensure compliance with applicable standards, rules, regulations, and systems of internal control.
3. Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions.
4. Prepare documentation for external auditors.
5. Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities.
6. Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
7. Perform other related duties as may be required.
Profile
A Successful Assistant Accountant Should Have
1. A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
2. Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles.
3. Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel) and accounting software.
4. Excellent organisational, problem-solving, project management and communication skills.
5. Ability to work well in a team environment.
