Role: Chemist/ Laboratory Technician

ROLE PURPOSE
To perform routine testing of samples for elemental content in accordance with SOPs using classical and instrumental techniques within a fast-paced commercial laboratory environment.
MAIN DUTIES
1. Responsible for conducting analysis of samples within a laboratory environment to a high degree of accuracy in accordance with laboratory ISO17025 accreditation.
2. Work with laboratory management to achieve key performance indicators.
3. Organise and achieve work as assigned by area team leader/supervisor.
4. To ensure safe working practices in line with HSE policy, Risk Assessment and COSHH procedures.
5. Actively contribute to lean and continuous improvement activities within the lab environment.
PROFILE/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
6. Educated to A level standard (or equivalent experience/qualification).
7. Ability to communicate to a high standard.
8. Ability to manage time effectively.
9. Flexible, innovative and creative.
10. Customer focussed.
