The role

requires individuals to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to answer customer questions by undertaking research, test and evaluation of equipment, and analysis of available data to deliver evidence-based recommendations and advice.
1. The successful applicant will be required to help design, run, analyse and report trials, including volunteer participant trials. Reporting will be required through both documentation and presentation.

2. Takes responsibility for their actions and performance and knows when to ask for help or to escalate issues.

3. Able to deliver high quality outputs within agreed timescales.

4. Able to carry out routine tasks with minimal support following relevant training.

Key Capabilities/Knowledge:

5. Ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams, communicating and applying knowledge effectively.
6. Ability to manage a range of simultaneous tasks.
7. Good written skills and ability to tailor information to meet the needs of different audiences (e.g. colleagues and customers).
8. Awareness of health & safety issues in research environments and a willingness to raise any safety concerns with team members or relevant individuals.
9. Awareness of research ethics and the importance of ethical reviews.

Academic requirements:

You will need to have obtained, or are about to obtain, a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree with a key focus on any of the disciplines listed below:

10. Aviation Physiology

11. Human Physiology

12. Sports Science

13. Biomedical Science

Additional skills and experience:

It would be desirable (but not essential) that you have skills, qualifications (including degree modules), or experience in one or more of the following areas:

14. Human experimental design

15. Physiological data collection

16. Statistics

17. Coding applied to data analysis

18. Anthropometry

19. Human Factors

Additionally, you should have an enquiring mind and be willing to learn at pace.

You should hold a driving licence as trials can take place at a number of UK locations (generally the trial team travels together in a hire car, with individuals sharing the driving).
