We are an electrical contractors looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join our team based at our offices in Wolstanton, Staffordshire. The role will include other administration responsibilities to support the business operations (split, 3 days bookkeeping and 2 days administration per week).
Key Responsibilities:
 1. Recording and reconciling invoices, payments and bank transactions
 2. Processing of payroll
 3. Processing subcontractor invoices, CIS deductions and returns
 4. Sales and purchase ledger transactions (Sage Accounting)
 5. Ensuring the correct application of VAT and the VAT Reverse scheme
 6. Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
 7. Weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly journals and reporting
 8. Maintaining accurate transactional records
