* The post is for a Planning Assistant within Derby City Council's Development Management Service to assist with the day-to-day running of a busy team.
* The service is based on prompt and proportionate validation to ensure that all applications receive the correct amount of supporting information to ensure timely decisions can be made.
* This post-holder will assist with that process, other services to support case officers and the role and function of the committee system.
* The post-holder will assist with parts of the appeal process to ensure that all appeals lodged with the Planning Inspectorate are promptly managed and deadlines met.
* The post demands a motivated person with sound organisational/time management skills and the ability to work effectively with all service users.
* The post sits within the salary range £27,694 to £29,540 (grade E) and benefits include access to the Local Government Pension Scheme and flexible remote working arrangements to assist with work-life balance.
